Description of Activity

The Prince's Trust is a 12 week Personal Development Course for any individual aged between 16-25 years.

Week 1 - Introduction to the team and meeting other like minded people, this will include team building activities and also working on individual Action Plans- setting out achievements and goals and working towards these.

Week 2 -  Action packed 5 day residential away. Trying new things and challenging yourself, this includes team building activities, the type of activities whilst on residential include; Canoeing, Abseiling, Raft building amongst many others.

Week 3-6 - Working as a team, where individuals will need to decide on a Community Project that will benefit people locally, including planning and fund raising activities. Team members will be working on the chosen project for 2 weeks.

Week 7-8 - Two weeks work placement

Week 9 - Next Steps Week, planing for the future, writing C.v and practicing interview techniques.

Week 10-11 - Community Challenge - Working as a team to decide on a challenging activity to help others, week 11 practicing the skills that have been learnt.

Week 12  - Final presentation, receiving certificates that have been achieved throughout the course in front of family and friends.

  • Key Skills Level 1 & 2 - Problem Solving, Working with others, Improving Own Learning and Performance

Where does the group meet?

We deliver the Prince's Trust Team Programme from the City of Wolverhampton College, our Wolverhampton teams are run from the Molineux Football Stadium, Staveley House & Caledonia Street Bilston - these run throughout the year.
