Multi Agency Support Teams (MASTs)

What is a MAST?

There are 8 MASTs (Multi-Agency Support Teams) in Wolverhampton. They have been established to make sure that services for children, young people, their families and schools can work in a co-ordinated way. Multi- Agency joint working has been piloted nationally and found to have brought significant benefits for clients and providers. The government is urging all local authorities, with their partners, to establish multi agency support teams to bring Children & Young People professionals together in a holistic support service.
 
What can MAST staff help with?
 
As children grow up they may present lots of worries and concerns to their parents/carers; many of these can e sorted out quickly. However, sometimes more help is needed; MAST staff can assist with these difficulties. Some of the most common include:
  • concerns about the child's behaviour
  • problems at home
  • exclusion from school
  • bullying
  • problems in the local neighbourhood

You don't need someone else to refer you to a MAST; feel free to telephone, email or drop into a MAST Centre and speak to a member of staff who can arrange to make an appointment with someone who can help you.

MAST Opening times are: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
