Description of Activity

An offer from LIFE

  • Free, confidential information, counselling and support for any girl or woman worried about an unplanned pregnancy and perhaps considering abortion. Support also for those suffering after pregnancy loss or struggling to cope after abortion. Our skilled helpers are there to listen, not to judge.
  • Free pregnancy test, with the result available with a few minutes. If you want to talk about the result we will provide a listening ear and be there with our support.
  • Practical help for expectant mothers, and parents and carers of babies and young children. This includes supplying babies' and children's clothes and essential items such as cots and fireguards.
  • Answers to quick queries as well as the chance to talk in depth to a skilled helper.

Where?

We operate from the Wolverhampton Life Care Centre, which is in the city centre at 34 Berry street, at the back of the Grant Theatre. It is close to the bus and rail stations. Just check our opening hours (tel:01902 420083) and drop in. You do not need and appointment.

Telephone helpline:

If you prefer to talk on the phone, you can ring LIFE's free National Helpline on 0800 915 4600. The helpline is open six days a week.

LIFE Speakers:

Our speakers can be booked to give talks to young people on issues that impact upon their lives and the lives of their friends and families. Topics include sex and relationships, and abortion. We find that young people welcome the opportunity to talk about such 'life' issues in an open and calm way and to explore all the difficult questions.
